Greatest Hips Video Series
Greatest Hips is a greatest hits series of short stretch & go sessions designed to help you with stretch/mobility training focused on tight hips & hamstrings.
Making a start on a new endevour can be challenging and let's be honest, rocking up to a yoga class when you don't know what you are doing can be daunting for most people. Life also, can be hectic and finding time to actually get to a class can be tough. To get started it needs to be easy.
My aim for these videos is to make it easy for you to start the essential work required in getting your legs moving while also delivering good value for your time so you can start to feel great in your body.
How Are Your Hips & Hamstrings ?
I ask this question to encourage you to give this some thought. There are two common answers. Not great and I don't know. I was once in the "I don't know" category. I wasn't even aware hips could be tight. I found out what tight hips were when I went to my first yoga class. I'm grateful yoga showed me this physcial deficiency so I could fix it. I used to have super tight hips and hamstrings but with consistent work I brought back their natural range. Now I help many, many people with their mobility problems (as a yoga teacher & movement coach) and the number one problem area by far is tight hips, tight hamstrings. If you have this problem you are not alone. If you want to do something about it click below.

I Was Once Tight and Stiff Too
I'm in a unique position to help you. I once had a tight stiff body myself. Not just my hips, everywhere. I know what its like. I played a huge amount of sport when I was young. I played rugby league and spent plenty of time in the gym with bascially zero effective stretching. I have also dealt with injury having recovered from two ACL knee surgeries. Not a pretty surgery if you've heard of it :) I did all the things well known to leave a body tight and with poor/limited mobility.
There is hope though. You can make a huge change and totally change the trajectory of where you are going.
I did it and 100% believe you can too.
I accidentally stumbled across yoga. I'd heard about it and one day I walked past a studio near my house and the cheap intro pass advertisemnt they were offering caught my eye. $20 for 10 days. It was good deal and thought I have nothing lose hear so I decided I would give it a go.
I found the whole thing very difficult. Everything was hard. But, I recognised almost immediately that some of the positions were basic movements and I remember thinking to myself "something is not right with my body, I should be able to do most of this". Getting on top of some of the basics was one of my main motivations to persevere, the other was,
I could feel it working.
If you think about this makes sense. Lets for a moment call a yoga class a stretch class instead. I was coming from a place of no stretch. None. Maybe, maybe once I copied a stretch I saw someone do with no idea what it was supposed to be doing. If I go into a class (back then classes were 90 minutes) and stretch for 90 minutes its not really a surprise my tight body responds in an "OMG this fantastic" kind of way. When you start to loosen a tight body it feels amazing. I kept at it, I worked hard, continued to feel and see change not just in my body but in my overall energy. I became a nicer more friendly person and 100% have yoga to thank for that. It worked for me and I believe it can work for you too.
I can help you because I started at zero. I was not naturally flexible. I worked on it and got my body feeling great. How it should feel.
Now I teach yoga and movement for a living. I help people through the process I went through. I believe anybody can make the same changes I did with patience, focus and the right guidance. I've seen people do it in class and I know you can too. This series is to help you on your path towards having a body that feels great.
Question ? How will your body feel in five years from now if you don't take action.

“I am a 52 year old woman who lives in Melbourne, I have always had lower back pain and more recently a sore left hip, down my leg to my knee, which saw me flat on my back on the floor for a day taking pain killers. I am currently exercising daily, see an Exercise Physiologist weekly and an Osteo once a month to keep everything moving. I had always wanted to try Yoga, however I am not a “meditation” type, which is why my sister urged me to try your “Help my Hips” series after she found you on the internet. The short 10 minutes work outs had an immediate effect on me, no pain! My hips have more movement, they are not as stiff and I don’t get as much pain in the left hip/leg/knee which is great and I have gained more strength in my left leg. I didn’t do any of your videos for seven days, my left hip and down my left leg to my knee was very painful and after two 10 minute work outs, all the pain was gone. Unbelievable. I still get some pain during the day, mostly due to sitting at a desk however it is much more bearable and I require no pain killers. I have tried one of your 30 minute videos, which was quite challenging for me, however enjoyable as I felt like I had worked hard to achieve the moves. I feel like I am loosening up and gaining strength, particularly down my left side. I know it is going to take a while as I am changing a lifetime of troubles, however as you say, 10-20 minutes every day is all it takes to achieve better hips. This is something I will be doing for a lifetime. Thank you.”
